Description
Fall honey is darker in color than summer honey and has a more robust, complex flavor. Floral sources for fall honey are sedum, goldenrod and other asters, and this varietal will crystallize more quickly than Spring or Summer. The fall nectar flow only lasts for a couple weeks in September, so we never have as much fall honey available. Therefore, you will only find the fall variety available in 16 oz jars.
Because our honey is never heated above hive temperature, it will eventually crystallize based on the amount of glucose in the sugars. When this happens, place the jar of honey in a pan of water that has been brought to a boil. As long as the temperature of the honey doesn’t exceed 100oF, the pollen proteins will remain intact.
We recycle honey jars! Receive a $1 credit for each jar returned. Jars may be returned at vendor markets we attend, at our Porch Pick up location (358 Denman Rd, Carlock), or time of delivery of your next purchase. If ordering from the website, use the code “recycle” followed by the number of jars you are returning. There is no limit to the number of jars returnable at one time as long as the credit doesn’t exceed the dollar amount of the next purchase, i.e. up to 12 jars can be returned for each 1 lb jar purchased. Credits will only be applied at the time of purchase. No cash transactions. Any questions? 309-376-2264
