Description

Our Spring honey is the lightest of our honeys and has a delicate fruity taste made of nectars from early spring blossoming trees such as maple, willow, black locust, and fruit trees. Since we are located in a Conservation Zone comprised of wetlands from the Mackinaw River and prairielands, we have little concern about our bees foraging in agricultural areas treated with pesticides. Food supply for the bees is plentiful through the spring. If our hives are strong after surviving the winter, we will have a good spring harvest in mid-June. The frames are centrifuged and strained to 400 microns, removing the unwanted bits but leaving the pollens. What remains is delicious 100% pure raw honey.

Because our honey is never heated, it will eventually crystallize based on the amount of glucose in the sugars. When this happens, place the jar of honey in a pan of water that has been brought to a boil. As long as the temperature of the honey doesn’t exceed 100oF, the pollen proteins will remain intact.
We recycle honey jars! Receive a $1 credit for each jar returned. Jars may be returned at vendor markets we attend, at our Porch Pick up location (358 Denman Rd, Carlock), or time of delivery of your next purchase. If ordering from the website, use the code “recycle” followed by the number of jars you are returning. There is no limit to the number of jars returnable at one time as long as the credit doesn’t exceed the dollar amount of the next purchase, i.e. up to 12 jars can be returned for each 1 lb jar purchased. Credits will only be applied at the time of purchase. No cash transactions. Any questions? 309-376-2264
